Robert E. Linnett Agency, Caldwell NJ merges with Bollinger, Inc. forming the 33^rd largest insurance agency in the country

The Robert E. Linnett Agency located in Caldwell has merged with Bollinger, Inc., Short Hills. Together the firms will generate $45 million in commission revenue, becoming the 33rd largest insurance agency in the country. The Robert E. Linnett Agency was founded in 1956 by Robert E. Linnett, Sr. and his wife Arlene. Robert Linnett, Sr. passed away in 1987, and the agency continued under the leadership of Arlene and her two children, Robert E. Linnett, Jr. and Rhonda Linnett Graber. Today, the agency provides full service to its customers in the areas of personal lines, commercial lines and group and life insurance. Linnett employs over 40 professionals at its Caldwell location. 

Robert E. Linnett, Jr. and Rhonda Linnett Graber have been named as Executive Vice Presidents and will serve on Bollinger's Board of Directors. Other key officers of Linnett include Chip Graber who will join Bollinger's Benefits Division as a Senior Vice President, Angela Canfora, Vice President in the Commercial Lines Division, and Dan Izraeli, Vice President in the finance and accounting division. The Linnett operations will consolidate with Bollinger at the Short Hills location in the second quarter of 2001.

Indicative of the consolidation trend now occurring in the insurance agency industry, this is the 14th acquisition by Bollinger in recent years. These acquisitions have enabled Bollinger to become one of the country's largest agencies and to transform itself from a regional insurance operation known for its specialty products, to a national firm offering a wide variety of insurance products and services to a diverse customer base.
